XAT 2023 Syllabus comprises four sections and one essay writing section. It must be noted that some changes were made in the previous year’s XAT syllabus and the essay section was reintroduced. Candidates who are going to appear for the upcoming entrance test must concentrate on the topics covered in the aptitude test syllabus.
It is expected that the XAT examination will be almost like the previous years. There is no definite syllabus for Xavier Aptitude Test as the exam conducting officials do not release any official syllabus. However, based on the previous year question papers and trends, our exam experts have prepared a list of subject-wise topics from which most of the questions can be asked in the upcoming exam. XAT 2023 Syllabus Major Highlights
It is expected that this year’s syllabus will be almost the same as previous years’ XAT exam syllabus 2022. The Question Paper will consist of two-time bound parts:
Part 1

- Decision-Making
- Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation
Part 2
- General Knowledge
- Essay
As per the official XAT notification released by XLRI Jamshedpur, the number of questions varies from year to year. It is expected that there will be approximately 22-30 questions covered in each section and the total number of questions will not be more than 100-105 including General Knowledge. General Knowledge and Essay are not considered while determining the cutoff and will be used only at the time of the interview.

The GK syllabus is expected to have the same questions as the previous year’s XAT exam syllabus 2022. This section is likely to contain a total of 25 questions. The General Knowledge section will include questions from the following topics:

XAT 2023 Syllabus for Essay
The XAT 2023 syllabus for the essay section is not prescribed. This section was reintroduced the previous year after 2018. The XAT Essay syllabus is likely to have one question. The candidates will be given two topics out of which they have to select one for the essay. The XAT essay topics will be mostly based on abstract ideas. Candidates should write the essay within the prescribed word limit and duration.
